Well, I'm short. I'm also old, which means I'm never far away from an exfoliant. My current plan is to slough off enough skin to reveal the passionate young thing underneath. So far all I've accomplished is to make a naturally ruddy complexion even more so. I'm essentially of two minds. During the day, I'm a mildly competent securities lawyer, except between the hours of 1000am and 300pm. During those hours I'm a waste of space. Outside of work, I fancy myself a bit crazy, though my haircut sort of gives me away. I'm really not crazy, I'm really just boring. But I feel I do boring better pretty well, so I'm not that concerned. What I am concerned about is how my life has changed radically in the past few years. My concerns are now dying alone, if a mortgage is right for me, how old I will be when my student loans are paid off, whether a cat is a good idea or certain death, comparative interest rates and whether compounding interest will save me from indentured servitude, the proper allocation of funds in my retirement plan (is "agressive" really a good thing?), whether my niece thinks I'm cool and, more to the point, whether I am or ever have been, cool. Me thinks the answer to the last one is no. The budding adult I am mourns the fun youngster that I was, while the youngster that I really am inside doesn't recognize the budding adult that I am. So I guess I'm a bit like a frosted mini wheat on acid.
