My fifteen years as a designer, producer and entrepreneur have included award-winning projects in television, mobile, and the web, and co-founding of two industry-leading companies, the most recent of which, Next New Networks, was acquired by Google in March 2011. As Next New Networks' president and co-founder, I led the company's creative and platform strategy from its beginnings in late 2006 until its acquisition in 2011. As the original head of development and programming, led the team to assemble the most diverse and successful portfolio of original video entertainment programming on the Internet, including hit networks ThreadBanger, Indy Mogul, Fast Lane Daily, Barely Political, $99 Music Videos, and Ultra Kawaii, racking up over 2 billion video views and thirteen Webby Awards to date, more than any other independent media company, and building profitable partnerships with YouTube, AOL, 5Min, Federated Media, and advertisers such as Warner Bros, Publicis, and Unilever. Prior to Next New, I co-founded Proteus in 1996, a pioneering interactive agency, which was responsible for the first-ever nationwide interactive TV broadcast using mobile phones during FOX’s Super Bowl XXXVI, developed and launched network-wide mobile content offerings for HBO, ABC, Discovery, and FOX, and produced mobile phone-based interactive TV experiences for NBC's 2004 Olympics and four seasons of NFL, NASCAR, and MLB on FOX Sports. My nine years' work as creative director also included major interactive and award-winning campaigns for AT&T, Sony, Sprint, Newsweek, ExxonMobil, The Washington Post, Gibson, and Motorola. In addition to my work at Proteus and Next New Networks, I've consulted on interactive strategy for organizations such as Brookings, A&E, History Channel, Travel Channel, BBC America and People for the American Way, and worked as a producer on landmark early web series such as Rocketboom and Afterworld.
