As a sophomore at UW-River Falls, my goal is to continue learning new marketing and promotional techniques to become an expert in the PR field. -Working in the Health Services office at UWRF as a Marketing Intern has given me the oppurtunity to plan and coordinate our yearly Health Fair to be held on April 18th 2012. Coordinating this event involves: -designing themed advertisements such as posters, street banner, pamphlets, a print ad, news release, radio announcement, and emails along with reserving equipment and rooms - ordering decorations and organizing potential presenters from University organizations and River Falls companies to provide students with handouts, presentations, and give-aways. -recruiting sponsors from River Falls community -obtaining donations and give-aways I have completely enjoyed working in the Health Office because of the friendly atmosphere and a great team of Interns and supervisors to work with. From this experience as a marketing Intern, I hope to gain valuable skills that will assist in my hopes of becoming an event planner.
