Stanislaw Burzynski, M.D. Ph.D., internationally recognized physician and scientist, has been treating patients with terminal cancer for over 30 years. Dr. Burzynski is a member in good standing with The American and World Medical Associations, The American Association for Cancer Research, The Society for Neuroscience, The Texas Medical Association, The Academy of Medical Ethics, and The Society for Neuro-Oncology, and many others. In 1967 when Dr. Burzynski was just 24 years old, he received an M.D. from the Medical Academy of Lublin, Poland, where he was first in his class. That same year, Burzynski made a significant discovery when he identified naturally occurring peptides in the body that control cancer growth. In the following year, he earned his Ph.D. in Biochem-istry and became one of the youngest candidates in Poland ever to hold both an M.D. and Ph.D. From 1970 to 1977, Dr. Burzynski served as a researcher and assistant professor at the Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where his research was sponsored and partially funded by the National Cancer Institute. In May 1977, the Burzynski Clinic was founded in Houston, and over 12,000 patients have been treated there since. At the Burzynski Research Institute, where Dr. Burzynski serves as the President, the research on cancer causes and cancer treatment is con-tinually advancing. Dr. Burzynski is the author and co-author of over 300 scientific publi-cations and he currently holds 234 patents. He has been recognized in many articles and television interviews, and also received several prestigious awards for his contributions to cancer research and treatment.
