Alysyn Curd serves as creative director, principal designer and head consultant. Following over a decade in what she considers military-like training, in retail management involving five locations, with the Limited, Inc., Ms. Curd began her entrepreneurial career as a free-lance designer, artist and writer during the early-eighties. Along the way she was a fashion designer and magazine publisher who developed a love for marketing including business planning, public relations, and advertising. She joined forces with partner and media expert, Alfonso Brown and opened Art Impact Marketing, in a Southfield, Michigan office August of 1998. Art Impact Marketing incorporated in 1999. That same year, the pair developed and previewed local entertainment magazine, “Sound & Vision.” While the magazine achieved great praise and opened doors in the community, the project was under capitalized, and taught them hard business lessons. According to Curd, “All lessons learned are good. We’re able to recognize and protect clients from those mistakes we’ve learned from and survived. Also, learning what NOT to do can only lead to what TO do.” Currently staffing a new office in Detroit and launching an east coast affiliate, Art Impact Marketing Inc. now provides exclusive proprietary marketing systems, consultation, brand imaging, “talent branding” and project development to select small business owners, non-profits and “creatives.” Local clients and affiliations have included: Monica Morgan Photography; State of Michigan FIA Program; Hot Sam’s (men’s clothier); Metropolitan Arts Complex; Rufus Bartell; Judge Mathis Expo; The Michigan Front Page; Selina Johnson/Hollywood Golf; and independent filmmaker, Qasim Basir.
