As exciting and toasty as it was I decided that I needed a change of scenery for college, so I headed off to the University of Colorado at Boulder. During those years I was a lifeguard, referee, bartender, waitress, welder, newspaper deliverer, nanny etc. I managed to spend a summer in New York working with inner city kids, a summer in Washington DC as an intern, a summer in Colorado welding, and a summer traveling between Hawaii-Los Angeles-Canada-Alaska. After college (a degree in psychology and a great many debts later) I moved to LA. Shortly thereafter I was offered a job in DC that I could not turn down. There I went and here I stay. I never intended to be here for more than a couple of years.... it's been 8. I married a wonderful man in 2005 and continue to act like I'm 12, party like I'm 21, and feel like I'm 80.
