A former award-winning sports journalist, I am currently a communications specialist at West Virginia University, where I write stories on students and explore how to reach a university community on social media. Prior to that, I spent more than three years as the WVU football and basketball beat writer at The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. In addition, I've worked at the West Virginia University student newspaper The Daily Athenaeum for more than five years in different capacities. Most recently, I was the Sports Editor at the newspaper from May to May . Previously, I spent a year as the newspaper's Managing Editor. I also worked in the newspaper's production department as the night production foreman. I have also freelanced for newspapers like The Charleston Daily Mail and The Hampshire Review. I was also a stringer for the Associated Press. I am currently working toward a Master's Degree in Journalism at West Virginia University. I graduated from WVU with an undergraduate degree in News-Editorial Journalism in May .

As a Vistage Chair for Vistage International, the world's leading CEO membership organization, I deliver and facilitate monthly think tank meetings for a group of successful CEOs dedicated to becoming more effective leaders and increasing the value and profitability of their businesses. As part of the Vistage experience, I provide individual monthly coaching to each member. I am a life long learner and share my learnings using social media and blog posts. When I'm not advising my clients, you can find me volunteering with one of my favorite non profits such as Georgia Council on Economic Education, and Junior Achievement of GA where I can share my passion for educating the next generation. My most valued time is spent traveling extensively with Craig, my husband of over 20 years.
