I'm a Bay Area native and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I earned my BA in communication and a minor in professional writing copy editing. During my senior year, I became the first undergraduate to work for the Chancellor of the University as an assistant writer. After graduation, I spent some time in business-to-business (BB) sales to get a feel for pitching and dealing with the public. For this, I moved to Scottsdale, AZ, where I developed training programs and strategic promotions for an independent marketing company. I returned to San Francisco in early . The idea of engaging others is what drew me to public relations. It's an area that allows me to define and implement the crucial aspects of various campaigns, including the creation and execution of strategic marketing and advertising plans for a variety of clients. Working at The Larose Group taught me the ins and outs of the industry and allowed me to build a strong foundation for my career. I coordinated all external communication with TV, radio, online and print and was the lead contact for events such as the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, which is acclaimed as the largest competition of American wines in the world. My efforts were also focused heavily on providing publicity and media coverage for the nonprofit arm of the San Francisco Giants, the Giants Community Fund, and their flagship program, Junior Giants baseball. I moved to Denver in to explore opportunities in a new market and experience life as a Broncos fan in Broncos country. I came back to San Francisco to continue my career as a marketing professional and to be closer to my family. I am still a passionate communicator and self-proclaimed web addict I love to learn, I love to be informed and I love being on top of my game. And of course, I remain an unapologetic fan of my Denver Broncos and the San Francisco Giants. It's a confusing relationship - but we make it work.
