I am an English Department faculty member as well as the faculty professional developer for Mesa Community College in Arizona. I have also served as the college's instructional technologist and I am currently co-developing a writing certificate program. My scholarly pursuits generally explore interactions between humanities and technology. I has been invited to speak about teaching and technology at both local and national venues. As well as co-authoring _The Wadsworth Guide to Research_, I was also co-editor of _Rhetorically Rethinking Usability_ (Hampton Press). My scholarly work has appeared in _Computers and Composition_, _Teaching English in the Two-Year College_, _Journal of Advancing Technology_, _Flow_, as well as various edited collections. My goals are to continue becoming a better teacher for all of my "students" (traditional college students as well as colleagues and others in professional development workshops). With my research I plan to continue adding to the national dialogue about the effectiveness of different technologies in teaching and learning environments.
