Bonnie is a long-time painter and decorative artist who has discovered an outlet for her talents in the art of wire sculpture. Using found objects, vintage and antique hardware,semiprecious gemstones, cameos, sea glass, and fossils, Bonnie creates a sculpted wire setting and then fashions a necklace, neck chain, or neck ring to complement the piece. The sculpture techniques Bonnie employs are rooted in Ancient Egyptian and Phoenician tradition, and are completed free of any heat-sourced tools or methods. With an eye for unusual combinations and the ability to discern art where others see raw materials, her pieces frequently elicit comments of surprise and pleasure.
