Although cancer doesn't define my life, it has certainly affected it dramatically. In November , I was diagnosed with rectal cancer and treated throughout . Until recently, there was no evidence of disease after treatment. Now, after unsuccessful attempts at palliative chemotherapy (including Avastin), I have opted for home palliative and hospice care. Quality of life is the goal of my treatment program. My unwanted journey thread will continue to document this significant aspect of my life journey.
