Evren Senol’s unique journey in life started some 45 years ago when he was born as a son of an educator, on the tiny Mediterranean island of Cyprus, located 40 miles from Turkey in the eastern corner of the Mediterranean.  Being a member of the minority population of Turkish Cypriots and living through a war at the age of 10 has made him aware of the suffering in the world.  It is for this reason that today Evren embraces all cultures and people of the world, and that he is always trying to find a way to help people.   Evren’s American Dream started 27 years ago when he was awarded a full scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis. He spent many years at Washington U.,  earning an M.S. and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a B.S. in Systems Science and Engineering.  He also completed all the requirements of the Doctor of Science Degree, except for his thesis defense.  In the early days of computer networks and the internet, his Master’s work involved connecting 2 computer networks across Forest Park, one at the Danforth Campus of Washington U. and one at the Medical School Campus of Washington U.  Evren was one of the first researchers to implement the then emerging compression standard called JPEG.  This led to his research for 6 years in medical image processing, specifically displaying mammograms on CRT computer screens.   During his time at Washington University, Evren was accepted into a number of honor societies including Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society and Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society (for excellence in scholarship, leadership and service).  He also served as a member and president of International Club.  Moreover, he was one of the founding members of the “Cultural Celebration Committee” that organized a week long program of celebration of cultures.  For the past 20 years or so, this event has continued to be a part of Washington University programs.   After spending two years as a faculty member at Fontbonne College (now University) and a year as a research scientist at a start-up technology company, Evren started his career in real estate.  He started as a salesman for one of the traditional real estate companies.  Evren’s main reason to enter the real estate field was to help others achieve the American Dream that he has found for himself.   Evren has earned his Broker’s License and a number of designations including the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS).  After a short period as an independent REALTOR®, Evren Senol Realty Group has affiliated with the most technologically advanced and caring company, RE/MAX Results.   Evren is an active member of St. Louis Association of REALTORS® serving on the Grievance Committee, Missouri Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®, Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR), the WCR Leadership Academy, the Town and Country – Frontenac and Creve Coeur-Olivette Chambers of Commerce, and theTurkish-American Cultural Alliance (TACA).  He supports many community activities, including St. Louis Public Radio, and a variety of Washington University programs.   Today he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Laurie Day Senol, and two children, Megan and Andrew, at their home in Town and Country.  Evren and his family lived in Town and Country for over 12 years.,The Real Estate Engineer(TM) - Your Dedicated Realtor - Greater St. Louis Area Realtor at STLSOLD.com,
