Shelly is a graduate of Michigan State University. She has worked in the Real Estate business since 1991, starting as a State Licensed Appraiser. Shelly believes continuous education is important to success. She recently earned her Associate Brokers license, and has attended the National Association of Realtors Convention annually since 1996. In 2005, Shelly also became a licensed REALTOR® in the state of Florida. Juggling a very successful career, plus raising a family takes boundless energy, which Shelly is known for! Shelly is married to Scott Diederich, a builder. They have two daughters, ages 11 and 15, and two golden retrievers. Shelly has lived in the Williamston area since 1978. An active member of St. Martha’s Church, Shelly’s free time is spent volunteering at her daughters’ school, golfing, boating, and helping her husband in his custom home construction business!

In the Iron Age and early Middle Ages in northern Europe, a mead hall was where a lord and his retainers ate and also slept. Later in the Middle Ages, the great hall was the largest room in castles and large houses, and where the servants usually slept. As more complex house plans developed, the hall remained a large room for dancing and large feasts, often still with servants sleeping there. It was usually immediately inside the main door.
