Robert Murphy is a partner with Black McCuskey Souers & Arbaugh, LPA. Before joining Black McCuskey, Robert was an extern for the Honorable Judge Ann Aldrich in Cleveland, Ohio, and a research assistant for Professor Robert P. Lawry of Case Western Reserve. Robert's work centers around counseling businesses and individuals on corporate transactions and real estate projects. He has extensive experience representing clients on business to business negotiations on customer facing agreements, outsourcing transactions and procurement initiatives, as well as real estate acquisitions and development deals, financing transactions (representing both lenders and borrowers) and general corporate matters. A Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Robert is a LEED Accredited Professional by the Green Building Certification Institute, a graduate of leadership Stark County, a former board member of the Stark County Builders Industry Association and the Vice Chairman of the Pike Township Zoning Commission. In June of 2010 he was recognized as one of 20 outstanding young leaders under the age of 40 making a significant impact on Stark County Ohio. Robert is a native of Canton and a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He is the immediate past Chairman of the executive committee for yStark! (the network for young professionals in the greater Canton Area) and President of the Central Catholic Alumni Association . He is the past President of the Board of Directors for the Mentoring Network of Stark County and a member of the Stark County and Ohio Bar Associations.
