Soils and environmental consultant in support of land restoration and revitalization. Sustainable land use projects are a specialty. Science support for waste utilization is my core business. I am also very active in permit compliance for land development, mitigating impacts to critical areas. I am exploring new and exciting ways to apply my soil science skills in the growing dynamic forming around land revitalization, especially urban soils. Biochar is a particular interest, and my goal is to see the biochar industry established in the Inland Northwest, making a biochar enriched compost mulch available for soil revitalization projects. Preventing soil loss is critical to many of my projects. As of , I am a Washington state Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL), qualified to prepare, monitor, and update Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. I am deeply involved in networking with, supporting, and promoting, my peer soil science professionals. I am happy to offer helpintroductions in any way that I can. I am a Certified Professional Soil Classifier and Registered Professional Soil Scientist with years experience in the Inland Northwest (that is, east of the Cascades), serving Washington, Oregon and north Idaho.
