I'm a writer, online communications specialist and event producer. Tech and culture are the places I play. At The Working Group I lead marketing and communications as part of a nimble biz dev team that connects our expert designers, developers and product strategists with ambitious innovators thinkers at both startups and big brands. We're a custom software company that crafts powerful digital products for web, mobile and tablet. We also invest in and incubate startups and host lots of events for our community. We're based in Toronto, where our open-plan studio houses our talented team alongside as a carefully-curated selection of Toronto startups. We also operate in NYC, with offices in Chelsea at the Centre for Social Innovation. By night, I throw art-driven dance parties with my friend Tegan Wylie under the name TH Events. It's as fun as it sounds. I'm also an organizer of Startup Weekend - a powerful grassroots event that introduces people to the core concepts of entrepreneurship in an intense -hour competitive setting. I'll leap at any chance to flex my creative muscles and love brainstorming and collaborative projects. I'm relentlessly excited about what I do and I'm always happy to act as a sounding board for ideas about events or content creation.
