Walter Smith-Randolph is a multimedia journalist with experience in front of and behind the camera. He's currently a General Assignment Reporter and Fill-In Anchor for WENY-TV News, the ABC & CBS affiliate for Elmira, Corning & Ithaca, NY. The New York City native holds a Master's degree in Journalism from The City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Villanova University. He has also studied communication and rhetoric in Greece with Villanova's Summer Study Abroad program. Prior to WENY, Walter was a video journalist and editor for Verizon FiOS 1 News/WRNN-TV, covering Northern New Jersey and Long Island. In 2009, Walter was awarded a fellowship from The National Association of Black Journalists and NBC News allowing him to work closely with executive producers and anchors at MSNBC in New York City. Walter has interned at WBRE Eyewitness News in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market, News 12 Long Island, News 12 The Bronx/Brooklyn, PBS' "Religion & Ethics" Newsweekly in Washington, D.C. and WCAU/NBC 10 in Philadelphia. He's a member of The Society of Professional Journalists and The National Association of Black Journalists.
