I am seeking a full time position in the Social Media Marketing & Management industry, specifically creating and/or editing content for the Web and strategic planning of media projects from conception through release. I have a philanthropic desire to help those in higher education who have not completed their degree and left school for reasons including lack of financing and/or medical problems. I have worked in both the retail and clerical/administrative industries for the past nine years. During this time I worked closely with the public, which afforded me the opportunity to learn about management, marketing, fostering successful client relationships, professionalism and team work. Through my experience I learned that I am especially skilled at anticipating and establishing client needs by asking the right questions, handling organizational paperwork, and creating “info-taining†(informational and entertaining) content and marketing tools to drive business goals. I will bring to you someone who understands that social media is about building relationships through offering a unique and valuable experience. My engagement has resulted in people seeking me to contribute to their blogs through guest posts and a following of over 3000 and presence on over 300 lists on Twitter. I also run the weekly chat, #GenYChat, on Twitter that connects Generation Y with Generation X and Baby Boomers. As a social media evangelist, I encourage those around me to see the value in these tools to further goals and grow as a person. I want to make the Marketing Communications industry with emphasis on driving user interaction and education my career.
