Assistant Managing Editor for The Chronicle of Philanthropy and philanthropy.com, in Washington D.C. In this role, I oversee The Chronicle's digital journalism and social-media strategy; manage its government and politics coverage and investigative journalism efforts; and am leading new initiatives and partnerships, including The Chronicle's paid webinar series, its partnership with USA Today for the annual Survey of Corporate Giving, and its presence at events such as NextGen: Charity and the Classy Awards. I'm also a regular speaker, representing The Chronicle nationally on topics such as social media, fundraising, and trends affecting the nonprofit world. Previously, I've worked in online and print journalism at the Erie Times-News, SchoolSports Inc., and Community Newspaper Co. in Boston. Along the way, I've earned awards from organizations such as Investigative Reporters and Editors, the National Headliner Awards and the Inland Press Association and have penned feature articles for Reader's Digest, Symphony, HOPE, and Computerworld.
