A clinical psychologist by training, an autism specialist by practice, and a mom by design. I've worked as a child psychologist for years starting off as a generalist, but ever so steadily gravitating to the neuro-developmental disorders--particularly autism. I also slowly lowered the cap on the age of the children with whom I worked and now I've developed a specialty in the early childhood years. On my journey I've experienced fast tracks, road blocks, and even u-turns, but I just kept going, trying to learn from all of it. I find myself in a wonderful place currently. I work for myself, out of my home office, with staff and clients that are a great fit and I get to create all the time. I've turned my passion for autism into a full-fledged company, Autism From The Start, and my team and I are happily creating programs and services that genuinely meet the needs of families with autism. I also have a parenting project, MPowered Parenting, that is bubbling with innovative programs and products. I continue to look forward to the road ahead where I will delight in growing my businesses, connecting with other professionals, and diligently serving families of young children.
