I love what I do. As a Creative Director for an advertising agency, I help solve business problems with, you guessed it, creativity. All those hours daydreaming in school actually turned into a useful skill. Thankfully. But "advertising" no longer adequately describes the industry I work within. The best advertising isn't advertising at all anymore. Sure, the end result of my work may be an ad. But it could just as easily be a new product, service, app, invention, social movement, game, branded video or something else altogether. It's an exciting, fantastic time to be in "advertising." Being a CD, I'm often pulled in a million directions. Which suits my professional ADD and my inherent curiosity about almost everything. It drives me to learn and to create. Ive invented a few things this year for clients I dont even have. And a few things for clients I do have. I'm definitely an idea person. But I also enjoy getting my hands dirty. I love that ideas can be expressed in so many different ways. Social, digital, mobile, broadcast, print, nontraditional. Whatever is going to be the most effective. I enjoy inspiring others. And often in turn they inspire me. I am a teacher, mentor, guide, coach. And a student. My team teaches me as much as I teach them. These days with everything changing, evolving at such high velocity, we're all learning from each other. Specialties I have an integrated background with comprehensive, broad digital experience. I'm a hands on CD that likes to concept, design and write. I'm an expert with all the usual software plus video and editing because I have an obsessive personality that requires me to know how to do things myself. And I have fun doing it.
