I’m a photographer. I take photographs. I don’t do it just for fun even though I totally enjoy practicing the craft. Started as a kid with a borrowed camera in a studio near Destin, Florida learning the nuances of black and white processing and portrait lighting with hot lights. Worked a few odd jobs until I could afford my first ‘real’ camera, a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic. Left the beautiful beaches of Destin for Atlanta seeking fame, fortune and a few jobs in information systems programming and sales. Switch to digital photography came in 2000 when I purchased a small Kodak DC280 to take with me on a trip to Russia. Switched to Canon in 2004 and now explore the finer points of Photoshop and Lightroom. Currently in suburban Washington, DC with my wife and kids, but giving increasing consideration to life as an expat … maybe Krasnodar, maybe Sochi.
