Chris Collins is an IT veteran with a 23 year international career who has helped companies deliver technology based products that have included life critical systems and line of business applications with millions of users. Most recently he played a pivotal role in the delivery of T-Mobile USA’s T-Mobile @Home service as the business systems analyst for the billing/order management/customer service system. His clients and customers operate in the telecom, medical, public sector finance and professional services industries. They range in size from start-ups to Fortune 50 and have included AT&T and the Iowa Dept of Revenue. As a manager Chris has applied his flexible and innovative problem solving skills as Technical Director, Consultant Manager, Product Manager and Project Manager, building effective teams through trust, transparency and clear and open communications in the simple belief that effective teams build great products. Beyond his ability to make technology work Chris brings a wealth of process expertise ensuring that projects start off right, stay on track and complete on time, on budget and on scope. Having guided two companies to ISO accreditation Chris has employed a number of SDLC methodologies from waterfall to iterative and can apply the right method for a given situation helping clients to process maturity and consistent quality in their project delivery. On his largest project, he coordinated the efforts of 50 staff from multiple internal teams and international vendors. Outside of development he has fulfilled roles within Quality Assurance, Training, Customer Support and System Administration. Specialties As a technologist, Chris has fulfilled roles across the entire project lifecycle; as a Microsoft certified Developer, Architect, Analyst, Configuration Manager and DBA, on platforms from desktop applications through complex n-tiered, enterprise and web systems with multi-million dollar budgets in business areas including billing, the call center, customer care, collections, revenue assurance, supply chain, work scheduling and document imaging and management.
