Twenty years of experience in the television industry impressed upon me the importance of image to viewers and advertisers. With a Master of Business Administration degree, I also have a marketing and sales perspective. Televisions product is the viewers they deliver to their customers--advertisers. The way to give advertisers their desired viewers is solely by image. Through the programming broadcast by the station, involvement in the community, and the stations on-air talent, the image is its brand. That brand is what attracts both viewers to the station and the advertisers who pay for those viewers. The way the station chooses to be involved in the community, presents the communitys news, and the programs it airs is just as important as its own talents image. Every penny spent should be used toward creating the image that targets the advertisers desired demographic. Through the MBA, I can analyze PL and identify where funds can be more effectively used to create the right image. I can also see where wasteful expenses can be eliminated without cutting revenues in the process. As a director, I am experienced in leading cross-functional teams to a unified goal. The MBA gives me the ability to use metrics to chart progress. On-air talent is the stations face and voice. The two decades of working in the community as a photographer and talent in the studio as a director, gives me the skills to create the storytellers people will welcome into their home every day through their TV. As a member of the social media committee, we developed campaigns to deliver new viewers using new technology to advertisers, all while maintaining the integrity of the brand. As a news and production veteran with a masters degree in business, I offer a unique perspective from most in the industry. I want to create a modern television using st century technology to deliver more viewers to advertisers.
