I'm currently a Senior User Researcher and have been working in the human factors and usability field for fourteen years. My background includes a M.S. in Human Environment Relations (concentration Human Factors) from Cornell University and experience working on both hardware and software across a variety of industries (medical, financial, and consumer). My primary role has been to lead user research at both the concept and validation stages of product development and to provide usability and human factors input into the designs. As an Innovation Catalyst, I coach teams and facilitate workshops using design thinking methods. I'm also active in the greater User Experience community and served as an Interaction Design Association (IxDA) Local Leader for five years. As a way of giving back to the UX community, I presented the tools that enabled me to grow my network without changing my introverted personality at the Information Architecture Summit.

STAND, the student-led division of Genocide Intervention Network, envisions a world in which the international community protects civilians from genocidal violence. At its core, our mission is to empower individuals and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide. To do so, STAND's Leadership Team recruits, trains, organizes and mobilizes students around the world by providing materials, educational information, online resources, policy expertise, and a network of concerned and active peers. Born out of the fight to stop the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, STAND is devoted to creating a sustainable student network that actively fights genocide wherever it may occur. We seek to unite students around the world in a permanent anti-genocide constituency.
