Because of this philosophy, I put my full potential into anything that I engage. With a background in biological and medical sciences, consumer electronics, and clerical applications, I am very flexible with various tasks and procedures and eager to learn new things. Having graduated from University of Maryland in 2009 with a B.S. in Cell Biology and Genetics, I am currently working towards completing my Master's in Public Health, and have a medical background (as I completed Basic Sciences in medical school). I have worked in office and retail settings and thus am well acquainted with clerical tasks and applications, such as Microsoft Office, different report generation, customer service and group interaction and leading, and sales. In addition to that, I have a great deal of experience in a biological laboratory and clinical setting, having worked in a government laboratory for a span of 4 years and having helped lead basic health clinics on the island of St. Kitts. Being able to speak multiple languages, I am proficient in Urdu and Hindi, and basic in Spanish, and know a little bit of Arabic. Throughout my educational and professional career, I have participated in several organizations and have held many leadership positions, such as Vice President, and have a lot of experience in management. Some organizations that I have participated in have been the Student Government Associations, Muslim Students’ Associations, Students for Life, and Students for Health. Along with my studies, I currently volunteer throughout my local community, supporting various youth groups, and I also volunteer at the local fire station as an EMT in Gaithersburg, MD. Specialties I am very proficient in Microsoft Office, have automotive experience, and an advanced background in consumer electronics and technology (application and repair), and have several hours of lab experience. I have experience in organization management and leadership, such as 'Students for Health' at Windsor University, where basic medical needs of local residents were met following the training of students in triage and diagnostic skills.
