I started my professional life in Television Production as an Engineer working on commercials, political programming, and live events. At 30 I went back to school to get my AA and BA. I have worked my way into the Project Management and Business Analysis fields first at the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS) and now at Wellmark BlueCross BlueShield. While working full-time I completed my Masters Degree in IT Management at Colorado Technical University. Currently I have developed a Content Management and Collaboration Strategy for Wellmark and we are implementing SharePoint 2010 as our collaboration platform. At home I am an avid Linux and Open Source user. It is my belief that businesses are often paying too much for software under the spell of the big software producers.
