We live and work in a world of ever accelerating change. To thrive in that world we must be able to embrace change quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently. Traditional enterprise models have always emphasized just the opposite view that change is not the norm but the exception. It is being proven out everyday that the norm now is that rapid change is here to stay and we must evolve our enterprise models, people, process, and technology to acknowledge that truth. There are major forces at work today driving the need for IT to pivot cloud computing, big data, mobility, and social. I've spent the past several years speaking and engaging with companies about the importance of transforming the legacy IT business model in order to achieve convergence with the business and be able to meet the challenges of today's environment. By using people, process, and technology I have helped IT organizations through the transformation into a fundamental enabler for the enterprise. Through this transformation, the enterprise shifts from a series of disjointed business units with isolated, manually connected applications to one that has distributed, integrated business processes that connects with trading partners and is supported by a common, shared infrastructure.
