Born and raised between East Point and College Park, Georgia, Doc knew he wanted to pursue music early on. Doc gained inspiration from the movie “Juice†and began deejaying as a young man. He enjoyed this experience, but felt like he could take his music to a larger scale. Doc’s progressions lead him to put down the turntables and pick up the microphone. He formed a group called 285 that attained a regional distribution deal for their album Lyrical Traffic. The group gained moderate success selling over 25,000 records. They opened up for Goodie Mob, Bobby Brown and Ja Rule. Though the group-achieved success together, as with most groups, there was a star shining amidst everyone. That star was Doc Wily. Out of his group Doc Wily was selected to have two featured verses in the movie "Guilty by Association" with Morgan Freeman. His verses came from 285’s songs "Cornbread" and "It Ain't Where You From". This fueled Doc’s fire to start his solo career. After the group's time had run its course he ventured off to pursue his solo project. His first underground single was "Represent", which garnered a good amount of attention. The video received over 10,000 views in 2 months on youtube.com. His next single "Fresh out the Box" was released on iTunes May 4, 2010. The video premiered on HipHopBlog.com and WorldStarHipHop.com. The Fresh out the box video had over 60,000 views in the first two months.  Currently Doc Wily is working on his mixtape "Fresh Out The Lab", which is due to be released by the end of 2011. “Fresh Out The Lab†will include the hit singles "Represent" and "Fresh out the Box". It will also feature two new summer smashes, "Get Busy" produced by Nick Fury, and "It Don't Stop" produced by Show Stoppa.    Doc Wily is a Southern Hip Hop legend in the making like Outkast, Lil Wayne, TI, and Ludacris to name a few.
