In 1994, Tyrese Gibson's star was born when he was featured in a memorable Coca Cola Commercial. Riding the heat of the commercial, Tyrese landed guest appearances on the hit TV shows, “Martin” & “Hanging with Mr. Cooper”, as well becoming the face of Tommy Hilfiger at the age of 17. He signed a record deal with RCA Records and completed his first self-titled debut album in 1998, which featured the smash hit, “Sweet Lady”. His platinum selling debut earned him a Grammy nomination, and the American Music Award for “Best New Artist”. Shortly after, “2000 Watts” (Tyrese's sophomore album) was released. The hit record “Just a Baby Boy” was featured on the soundtrack of Tyrese's debut film, BABY BOY, written and directed by John Singleton. BABY BOY was not only Tyrese's feature film debut, but also a lead role in a major studio picture (a feat unheard of for an unestablished actor). With his silver screen debut, Hollywood and the world took notice of Tyrese's thespian talents. Tyrese continued his acting success with featured roles in 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS (2003) directed by John Singleton, co-starring Paul Walker; FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX (2004), alongside Dennis Quaid; FOUR BROTHERS (2005) directed by Singleton, featuring Mark Wahlberg, Andre 3000, and Terrence Howard; and ANNAPOLIS (2006), co-starring James Franco (Spiderman). In 2006, he starred in the urban drama, WAIST DEEP, alongside Meagan Good, Larenz Tate, & The Game. And in 2007 he was part of the biggest blockbuster of the year, TRANSFORMERS, directed by Michael Bay, produced by Steven Speilberg, and headlining alongside Shia LeBouf, Josh Duhamel, and Meagan Fox. This year, you can catch him in his newest role as the “bad guy”, in the Independent feature, THE TAKE, directed by Brad Fuhrman, co-starring John Leguizamo & Rosie Perez. Along the way, Tyrese earned his second Grammy nomination with his third album, "I Wanna Go There", co-hosted the 9th Annual Soul Train Awards, and became the first and only African male model to land a multi-million dollar contract when he signed with GUESS. Presently, Tyrese is busy implementing additional components to take him into Mogul status. His company, HeadQuarter Entertainment -- Home of the Frontline Boyz, is a multi-media empire featuring a film & TV production company (HQ Pictures), a music studio and recording label, and a talent management firm all under one roof. "A one-stop shop," as Tyrese likes to proudly describe his company. Leading the way for Headquarter's musical vision are the hot and much buzzed about Frontline BoyZ, a team of music producers that Tyrese personally hand-picked. Through Headquarter Entertainment, the Frontline BoyZ produced tracks on the soundtrack for the feature film WAIST DEEP, and Tyrese’s latest double-abum, “ALTER EGO”, where he takes his musical vision into a new and bold direction. One album contains R&B tracks. The other album is entirely hip-hop where Tyrese performs under the moniker of Black-Ty. All music produced by Tyrese, and The Frontline BoyZ (J-2, GX, DJ Battlecat, Jellyroll, Wali Ali, and 1500), along with Lt Hutton, JY Park. Coming soon, Tyrese can be seen in Universal big-budget action film DEATH RACE, directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and produced by Tom Cruise. Then comes LEGION, a Sony Screen Gems horror film co-starring, Dennis Quaid. Currently, Tyrese is set to star in TRANSFORMERS 2, the sequel to the biggest film of his career, which brings back all the key elements from the first film, including director Michael Bay and producer Steven Speilberg. Even with this breathless resume at such a young age, this is just the beginning for Tyrese Gibson. He is a man who wears many hats – the singer, actor, model, writer, community activist, producer, and media mogul – and he wears them all successfully. There is nothing he can't do, and with his vision, his inspiration and passion for his fans – Headquarter Entertainment will lead the way into a new world of media.
