I have worked for over 1.5 years as a Web/Graphic Designer at Dean & DeLuca, a leading gourmet food and wine reseller. The position started as an internship through Wichita State University, but was upgraded to a full-time position as the company needed it, and I possessed the skills and time to do the work. Here, I had many responsibilities, including (but not limited to): • Designing and arranging delivery of all of the company's email blasts, including special requests from the Wine Direct team. (Side note: I highly recommend Bronto for email delivery service) • Designing print materials such as loyalty cards (my design is currently being used), catalog inserts, and store signage. • Designing and maintaining creative for blog posts. • Creating and maintaining landing pages for the website. • Maintaining product category pages (CMS experience here, specifically Ektron). • Building home page "hero" images, featuring our top weekly product. • Retouching, removing background from images and preparing product photography for web. Full mastery of the pen tool in Photoshop thanks to the--literally--thousands of images completed. Prior to that, I worked all 4 semesters at my Community College, Highland Community College, as a graphic designer. Myself and fellow students designed all of the print material advertising concerts, graduation, and on-campus events.
