I have worked on a software development team developing commercial software for library automation. This software required me to learn practical and efficient techniques that combined C++ and Perl, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript all in an environment that required successful internationalization and localization. At East Carolina University, I work as a member of the Consulting Team. I am a system administrator for test servers, work to install prototype server software, develop custom web interfaces, scripts, and applications, and provide general consulting as requests arrive. Because of our heterogeneous web environment, I've become more familiar with Windows Server 2005 and 2008, SQL Server, IIS, and Adobe ColdFusion in addition to adding to my long standing Linux/Apache/PHP/Perl experience. I am working on becoming a Senior Member of the Association for Computing Machinery.
