God Shows Me A Sign One day when I was only 16 years old. I got down on my knees and prayed to God. At the time, it was one of the darkest moments of my life. My parents were getting a divorce. I haven’t seen my dad for a long while and my brother was in the Philippines with my dad. I was real lonely and really depressed. At the time, I was going to church with my cousin who was a really intense believer in God, but still, I had many doubts whether God was even real. Carrying with me my doubts and under the circumstances I found myself in, I got down on my knees and prayed the most tearfully sincere prayer I’ve ever prayed. Not before or since then I prayed a prayer more sincere and heart felt as this. I asked the Lord, “God I need to know you are here with me always. I need to know you are real and that you exist. Please show me a sign.” I was looking out the window at the time, seeing the blue sky. Closing my eyes, I asked Him, “If you are real, please turn the sky red, to show me you are real.” As I finished praying this, I opened my eyes and before me, the sky turned red. As I stared in utter amazement, with tears rolling down from my eyes, I was in total awe. I started to weep for God shows me He’s there with me. The sky stayed red for a few minutes and I knew in my heart and in what I have seen, that the God of the Bible is real and He’s always there for me. After that, I prayed and promised Him to never doubt Him again. But being human, I did break that promise and doubted God many times after that. But as doubt happens, the memory of that day comes to mind and my doubt subsides and my faith is revitalized. Yes, my promises do break, but God’s promises never break. If you obtain anything valuable from my testimony, is that you too can find God. He’s there and he is waiting for you. God is all around us and His word is in a book called the Holy Bible. He is real and His Son will return again.
