I am responsible for developing UBMs online community of employees across more than a dozen divisions on six continents on a single enterprise-wide social business software platform (Jive SBS). In this role I am accountable to senior management for employees adoption of the tool and engagement in the community, as well as developing a transparent and open collaborative online culture. Our community received the JiveWorld Business Impact Award and has been cited in Forrester Research case studies, as well as Charlene Lis book, Open Leadership. My work at UBM is also highlighted in Josh Bernoff and Ted Schadler's book, Empowered. I am a founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Community BackChannel, a community for and by community professionals. I write a blog, Adventures in Social Media (httpwww.adventuresinsocialmedia.org), am a member of The Community RoundTable and . Adoption Council, and have been a speaker at the Enterprise . and Jive World conferences. I am committed to encouraging the exchange of knowledge among people and groups worldwide, just as I did in my previous role as ICMIs Membership Director and Editor of ICMIs QueueTips question-and-answer forum for call center professionals, along with my role developing the educational programs for all three of ICMIs call center conferences, I am committed to being a life-long learner. As a former high school English and Social Studies teacher with an undergraduate English degree from Brown University, I have a fondness for the humanities, yet quantitative analysis fascinates me, too, as reflected in my Drexel University MBA concentration in Finance. I enjoy writing, and I'm currently an Assistant Organizer for the Get Out Philadelphia Adventurers Meetup, and was a co-founder of the Moorestown Rowing Club. Back in my teaching days, in my early twenties, I was a leader on trips with groups of students to Europe and (literally) around the world. I still love to travel Specialties Community building, social media, wikis, blogs. Call center management, especially workforce management in call centers. Writing and editing. Quantitative analysis and marketing.
