Born a long time ago in the sleepy town of Modesto, CA. Raised by parents who were both pharmacists, and are currently living their fantasy retirement outside of Grass Valley, CA.  Have a brother and sister, both younger.  Went to college at UC Davis where I studied Ag Econ, and minored in English.  Spent 3 years with Anderson Consulting, mostly in Chicago (most fun years of my life!).  Went to b-school at Univ. of Chicago (most difficult years of my life!), where I met my husband.  Got married a year after graduating, worked in a couple of IT, consulting type positions, moved to Cleveland for his job with McKinsey Consulting, and had our daughter.  Moved to Burr Ridge, IL for another job for my husband, and had our son.  Moved to Boulder, CO because we thought it would be a wonderful place to raise our kids - it has been an amazing place to live and we will probably never leave.  Was one of the original founders of AeroGrow International, where I focused on plant technology and product development, eventually becoming the VP of Marketing and Product Development.  Left in fall of 2009 after 6 1/2 years to start a company in the aquaponic gardening space with my retired husband.
