Most people know me from my personal development blog at StevePavlina.comblog . It's one of the most popular blogs in the world, attracting around . million monthly visitors. I'm also the author of Personal Development for Smart People , published by Hay House. It hit Amazon's top bestseller list months before it was released, just from the pre-orders. My life has had its ups and downs -- several arrests during my late teens, a bankruptcy, a marriage that ended after years together -- but I regard this as evidence of taking an interesting path. I love to keep challenging myself to learn, grow, and embrace new experiences. I'm not afraid of failure, and I quickly bounce back from setbacks. I center my life around a core set of principles truth, love, power, oneness, authority, courage, and intelligence. These principles come first in my life. I won't violate my inner compass to satisfy anyone else's expectations of me. I'm always on the lookout for smart, growth-oriented people to connect with. I prefer meeting people face to face when possible. The Internet is great for initiating and maintaining connections, but I don't find it very suitable for deepening connections. My purpose in life is to help humanity live more consciously.
