In , I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While studying at UIUC, I had a strong focus in designing for disabilities and empathic user research. My first patent was on the Drop Point System (a new tool for those with quadriplegia to interact with the world), which lead to many awards and positive opportunities. One such award was being the first-ever undergraduate to win Grand Prize at the international Collegiate Inventors Competition in . Recently, I even had the pleasure in presenting my assistive technology user research at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.. I am now looking to further develop my career in design. Although I have focused on designing medical products and trying to remove the visual stigma and confusion that plague most medical designs and interfaces, I am excited to try my skills in many of the dynamic fields of product design. For the past two years, I have worked as a Designer at Bish Creative Display. Within this short time with Bish, Ive followed over products from start to finish sketching, rendering, drawing specs, working with vendors, building prototypes within our workshops and guiding the manufacturing process, to deliver varying advertising products for many Fortune company clients. In August of , I made the big move to San Francisco. I look forward to seeing what this new city has in store for my design career.
