Born in Evanston, IL, Stephanie Izard attended the University of Michigan before moving on to the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona. Best known as the winner of Bravo's Top Chef in 2008, she describes her cooking style as ever-evolving, incorporating contrasting and complementary elements as well as balance into each dish. Izard is currently looking forward to opening her second restaurant in Chicago, IL, The Drunken Goat, in 2010.
