Bio: Shirl Kennedy has worked in academic, corporate and public libraries, was Network Information Manger for the Tampa Bay Library Consortium and Web Guide Manager for Time, Inc.’s Business 2.0 magazine. She is currently the reference librarian at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL, as well as a news researcher for the St. Petersburg Times. She writes the Internet Waves column for Information Today, and her newest book, The Savvy Guide to Motorcycles, was published in November 2005 by Indy/Tech Press. A former newspaper reporter, Shirl received her masters degree in library and information science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She lives in St. Petersburg, FL, with the obligatory two cats, a motorcycle, a pick-up truck and, sometimes, the younger of her two sons. She belongs to the Society for American Baseball Research, and can always be dragged away from the computer to go to a ball game.
