i'm just trying to do right, by myself and others. sometimes i fail, but it's par for the course of breathing. i'm not perfect-- none of us are-- but some of us should get points for doing what is right in a world filled with societally- and culturally-enforced ethical ambiguities. i'm not always on my soapbox about it, though, as i've grown to be humbler in my old age. when people act high and mighty, they usually find themselves with quite a few nosebleeds for their efforts.
