I have spent 20 years working in the financial services, insurance and mortgage industry, latterly as an owner of a mortgage broker, IFA and property letting business. My main strengths have been IT, finance and marketing (on and offline).After everyone's credit had been crunched and the mortgage market all but disappeared it was time to change direction for the sake of my family.So here I am, making and selling savoury pies! Goddard's Pies started out in 1890 and I am honoured to have known all but the very first Goddard who started this family business over 120 years ago. In 2009 we spent a considerable sum constructing our own commercial kitchen and storage facility in Kent and began selling pies on a wholesale basis in April 2010. We now supply to the trade throughout London and the South East and continue to grow month on month.We pride ourselves on making great pies while using traditional methods and techniques. All of our pies are hand made, hand trimmed and hand packed (no conveyor belts here!).We recently won an award at the British Pie Awards 2011 and will strive for more next time. The team here is also actively involved in many restaurant and food outlet projects.I am happy to discuss any ideas or proposals that revolve around pies.Whilst I have no direct day to day involvement in Enhanced Wealth or Holday Let Mortgages, please feel free to drop me a line should you feel I can help with these (many still do).Oh, and eat more pies...  Â
