I received a B.A. from Lycoming College in both Photography and Art History and an M.F.A in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. My masters thesis concentrated on gender shifts of an individual within non-linar time. The process combined film capture with digital processing and output, allowing me to achieve a mastery of the digital process and all current imaging software. This working format, as well as website design and creation, requires me to be highly organized and capable of working with both speed and precision due to the great amount of file management, along with the organization and combination of numerous film scans. Furthermore, I am proficient in a variety of camera platforms, such as mm, medium and large formats and pin hole. I am also familiar with some forms of antiquated image processes. While studying at Savannah College of Art and Design I participated in the work study program where my responsibilities included both digital and silver-based lab maintenance, as well as equipment management. Also, my teaching internships under Tom Fischer and Zig Jackson required the preparation of class lectures and hand outs, teaching both digital and traditional image processing and assisted students with inquiries and lab work. I can work well in a group and and am knowledgeable in the areas of both photography and art history. Furthermore, I have the ability to maintain a positive, can-do attitude, even in the most stressful situations. As an artist I am current with the trends in contemporary art and am familiar with many photographers styles. I have the drive to remain involved in the ever changing field of photography.
