Later while a student at New York University, He began working as a writer at Beat Down Magazine. A Bi-Weekly, which featured content about the New York hip hop underground scene. Next he would go on to develop his entertainment and business skills while interning at Uptown Records, Arista Records, On Radio (90.3 FM WHCR-New York) and in Corporate America. He would make it a point to be a fixture on the New York hip hop underground scene with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jean Gray & Q-Tip. These Years would prove to be a great source of inspiration and melding of cultures for this young writer/producer.With a love for the art of music and a firm understanding of the business world, Samuelle' would establish McFadden & Associates. This Company would serve as a parent platform for not only his music interests but also for various other business ventures. However, to solely target his ventures in the music industry he established McFadden Entertainment Group, which would handle the side of his entertainment interests. To address Artist development and outlet for creativity, he then established Soul Convection. Samuelle' was determined from the beginning days that Soul Convection would operate differently from other labels. He immediately created a philosophy that his label was seeking "business partners" not artists. It was not just about the music, it was about a lifestyle. Soul Convection entered into the recording business with the launch of its first compilation album entitled "Soul Convection, Volume One" which was produced, marketed and self distributed. The album was sold on the internet, Tower Records, HMV Stores, local stores and out of the trunks of our cars. The album sold over 20,000 units in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, Japan, London and France. This meant that Soul Convection was officially in the music business and moving units.
