Ross Taylor just completed his third NFL season and his third with Redskins PR in . Taylor was named Communications Manager in December after months as Media Services Assistant. Taylor is responsible for football publicity efforts relating to the editing and design of media materials, including game releases, digital media guides, event releases, game notes, season in reviews, daily transcripts and more. He also serves as a liaison between the organization and members of the media, assists in shaping organizational messaging, and provides statistical research expertise to football operations. In addition, Taylor was part of a select group chosen by the NFL to provide PR assistance on the league's behalf during NFC Championship week. Taylor first joined the Redskins as an intern during the summer of . He joined the team on a full-time basis directly following the conclusion of the NFL lockout in July . His background includes an internship with The Dallas Morning News in which he served as a staff writer for SportsDay in . Before joining the Redskins, Taylor spent five months interning at the world headquarters of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications in St. Louis. Taylor graduated magna cum laude from the esteemed School of Journalism at the University of Missouri in December , earning a Bachelors of Journalism with an emphasis in convergence journalism in three-and-a-half years. In addition to completing assignments for multiple professional media organizations, Taylor served as the play-by-play voice of the Missouri Tigers womens volleyball team across the - seasons. In his final semester, Taylor and a colleague launched KBIA Sports Extra, which was later integrated into the curriculum by convergence journalism faculty as the genesis of a new Multimedia Sports Reporting course.
