Ron Mattocks is a freelance writer, social media strategist, and a father of five. Prior to this, Mr. Mattocks served as an Infantry Captain in the United States Army, after which he transitioned to corporate America, working for a leading national homebuilder from 2001 to 2007. During his time Mr. Mattocks’ titles included President of Operations (Houston), Vice President of Purchasing (Houston), Director of Sales & Marketing, and Vice President of Sales (Chicago). Currently, Mr. Mattocks is the principal at Lunchbox Social Media Strategies where he assists companies in developing their social media strategies. These projects have included devising full strategies, monitoring and reporting, authoring related SOP’s, campaign participation, content creation, and blogger outreach. During this time Mr. Mattocks' has worked with Chevy/GMC, ConAgra, Pepperidge Farm, Dr. Pepper/Snapple, T-Mobile, Carnival Cruise Lines, and U.S. Army. Following his departure from the corporate world in 2007, Mr. Mattocks started the popular parenting blog, "Clark Kent’s Lunchbox" which in 2009 was ranked as the #15 Top Dad Blog by PostRank.com. In 2011 Ciscion Media listed his blog as #2 in the same category. Being a recognized leader in this nice, Mr. Mattocks is a regular speaker at related conferences such as the M3 Summit, Type A Parent, and Mom 2.0. In March 2010, Mr. Mattocks released his book, "Sugar Milk: What One Dad Drinks When He Can’t Afford Vodka," earning mentions in Reuters New, The Globe and Mail and The Bund-Pic (China). Mr. Mattocks is a regular contributor to Houston Family Magazine, Man of The House.com, Babble.com, Aiming Low, Errant Parent, and The Good Men Project. His writing has also been featured on public radio. Mr. Mattocks graduated in 1998 from St. Edwards University with a degree in English Literature.
