I am a computer geek who loves his job. I specialize in collaborative technologies, especially those based on the Lotus brand technologies. I currently am an independent collaborative technologies consultant with over 20 years' experience. I run a premiere collaborative technologies consultancy and I amÂ an IBM/Lotus Business Partner.I have co-authored two books and contributed to a third; my most recent book is the Notes and Domino 6 Programming Bible (Wiley, 2003), which I co-authored with Brian Benz. I have also written over 25 magazine articles, and I currently write a blog known as LotusGeek.com. I love speaking, and I usually speak at 4 or 5 technical conferences per year, both in the U.S. and Europe.I have been happily married since 1985, and my wife Debbie and I have five wonderful kids, and one grandson who was born in October 2009. I enjoy reading, scuba diving, riding my motorcycle (1997 Honda Shadow 1100), and most of all - playing with my kids. My family and I enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, and so on - anything that lets us have fun together. My two sons and I are all first-degree black belts in Choi Kwang Do (Pil Sung!).We are also avid animal lovers, and we have many rescue animals. We have 7 dogs,Â 6 cats,Â 3 guinea pigs, 2 rats, 2 ferrets,Â 2 turtles, and a horse (and no, no partridge in a pear tree - sorry! ;) ).
