Richard Sparaco was awarded a full-tuition academic scholaraship from the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph's College, Brooklyn, N.Y., where he obtained his B.A. cum laude in 1978. He was also a 1974 New York State Regents Scholar. In 1981 he graduated Rutgers Law School, Camden, N.J. and was awarded a Jurid Doctor degree, and was admitted to practice by the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars that same year. Courts he is admitted to practice in:    State of New Jersey    Commonwealth of Pennsylvania    U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit    United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania    United States District Court - District of New Jersey    Supreme Court of the United States of America. In 1981 to 1982 he served as a law clerk for the Office of Administrative Law in Trenton, New Jersey, and was a Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor from 1982 to 1984. He has been in private practice in Cherry Hill and Mt. Holly since 1984. Mr. Sparaco has represented the citizens of the communities where he practices in defense of criminal prosecutions, for persons who are injured as the result of negligence, and those who need to get a fresh start under the United States Bankruptcy laws. High-Profile Cases: United States v. Saul Febo.    Saul Febo was the leader of one of the most prolific drug organizations in the history of Camden, New Jersey. Facing life in prison, Febo pleaded guilty and received a ten year sentence. Febo testified in the political corruption trial of former Camden City mayor Milton Milan, who was convicted and sent to federal prison. United States v. Serdar Tatar.   Internationally known as the "Ft. Dix Six" Terrorism Case. Trial lasted from September to December, 2008. On December 22, 2008, the jury acquitted 25-year-old Serdar Tatar of Attempted Murder of U.S. Military Personnel. The jury convicted Tatar of Conspiracy, and he sentenced by the Hon. Robert Kugler, J.D.C. in April of 2009 to 33 years in prison, despite a Sentencing Guideline that called for a Life Sentence. Mr. Sparaco continues to represent Tatar on appeal to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. All of the other codefendants who went to trial received life sentences.
