I am a former secondary education teacher and veteran trial lawyer with the Kings County (Brooklyn, NY) District Attorney's Office and the Civil Rights Division of United States Department of Justice. I also worked in litigation firms in both NYC/DC, and operated my own vibrant law practice in the Washington, D.C. area. Along with my secondary school teaching background, I am also an experienced college professor and curriculum specialist in the area of Criminal Justice and Criminal Law. I am still passionate about teaching and currently serve as a law school career counselor at The North Carolina Central University School of Law where I enjoy assisting law students in seeking career paths and finding employment in their areas of interest including those areas of the law in which I have a proven record. I also enjoy acting as a moot court judge at local law school/college competitions. Additionally, I supervise all aspects of North Carolina Central University School of Law's Social Media programs, including the school's Twitter & Facebook accounts. Moreover, my personal Twitter feed ( @pag2010 ) has been recommended by "OnLine College.Org" as one of the top Twitter sites for law students and young lawyers in providing counseling information. I have also written, and been interviewed regarding law school and job placement issues (see list of my articles, below). I am active in the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP) where I have been published and currently serve as the Vice Chair of the work group that is monitoring the Recession's Impact on the Public Service Hiring Market I remain directly connected with the legal community through contact with lawyers in all practice areas, and by periodically serving as an expert speaker and professor in Criminal and Personal Injury Law. In this regard, In the past, I have been on the faculty of Half Moon, LLC and taught North Carolina paralegals on topical legal issues in a 2010 seminar.
