Peter English was born in Petaluma, California on August 27th, 1987. That was also the year film The Princess Bride was released, and some other cool things happened, but for most people Peter's birth will stand out as most important. As soon as he was able to speak, Peter began memorizing dinosaur names, and soon began astonishing people with his encyclopedic knowledge of all things paleontological. He also loved to draw, with dinosaurs being his most early subjects. Being home schooled, Peter had plenty of time to study art and dinosaurs, and developed a love for making things out of Legos and K'Nex.  Then in 1997 he saw the Star Wars: Special Edition Trilogy in theaters, and his life was changed forever. Peter and his neighborhood friends built lightsabers out of broom sticks, and soon had a Jedi hierarchy. In 1999, Peter's love of Star Wars was strengthened when he saw The Phantom Menace at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Every allowance he received was spent on Star Wars or Jurassic Park action figures, and he and his friend Ben would use Peter's parents' video camera to re-create Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Dinotopia, or their own original adventures. Peter's love of film and acting began then, and continued with him for the rest of his life.  In 2001 Peter's family moved out of Petaluma, up to Jacksonville, OR. He attended Cascade Christian High School for 10th grade, and then next year moved into nearby Medford, OR, where he attended South Medford High School for the last two years of his high school education. While attending South Medford High School, Peter became involved with the drama club, eventually playing Romeo in the school's production of Romeo and Juliet. Peter graduated from SMHS in 2006 at the age of 18, and the following fall enrolled at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR.  Peter chose Theater as his early major choice for SOU, but throughout the year began to realize that was not where he belonged. He loved theater, but being so near to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, the acting competition was extremely fierce at SOU. Realizing that acting on stage was not how he wanted to make his money, Peter joined Props Crew for one show, and was make Props Master for the next. He enjoyed building props because he could use his hands, and it did not have the pressure that came with acting.  After his first year at SOU, Peter decided he wanted to travel instead of returning to school the next fall, so he flew to New Zealand in November of 2007. Staying with people he met along the way, Peter explored the cities of Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington by foot and by bus. He was able to get a guided tour of Weta Workshops on Wellington, which to this day remains one of the greatest moments of his life. After about three weeks in New Zealand, Peter returned home. Since then Peter has worked various jobs, acted in several local movies and pursued his passions for video games, watching movies, reading, and drawing. He currently works the overnight Master Control shift at a local NBC affiliate station, saving up money for his next great adventure.
