Natacha Poggio is a social impact design strategist and Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, in Connecticut. Natacha develops socially responsible design projects that promote sustainable development and awareness of global issues. Her work fosters transdisciplinary partnerships that bring positive social change at local, national, and international levels. In , Natacha founded Design Global Change DGC, a collaborative group of design students and professionals who put their talents together to make a positive impact in the world. A recipient of aSappi"Ideas that Matter"award, Natacha spearheaded design projects in India and Kenya, as well as collaborations with healthcare organizations in developing countries. With DGC students, Natacha has coordinated the creation of two nonviolence murals in the city of Hartford. The academic projects Natacha undertakes educate design students on the impact and importance of their work bridging worlds, whether locally or internationally so that the interfaces, products and environments they create meet the needs of the greatest number of users. Natacha Poggio holds a Master of Fine Arts in Experience Design from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
